Ross Survival History
The Creation
Ross Survival Services Ltd., a sister company of K & L Ross, a leading supplier of PPE and workwear to the North Sea Oil & Energy Industry was founded in 2001.
Despite K & L Ross being in its infancy, Martin Ross (Managing Director of K & L Ross) had detected niche products which were applicable to the marine industry ...or more definitively the standby vessel and supply ship companies supporting the offshore oil installations.
This brought about the creation of Ross Survival Services Ltd.
The Next Step
Having been awarded the sole distribution rights for MULLION flotation garments and lifejackets the next step was to appoint 'a specialist' who had both product knowledge and a market presence.
In 2003, Ross Survival appointed a dedicated Operations Manager and this astute move has seen a significant increase in revenues. An after sales service which includes inspection, testing, laundering and certification of many of the products has provided the leading edge in capturing customers in the standby vessel, supply vessel and offshore markets.
The Present Day
We are proud of the progress we have made in establishing Ross Survival as a 'major player' in the marine safety industry but you will not be surprised to hear we have no intentions of resting on our laurels.
In addition to our loyal customer base in the marine and offshore oil markets we are now supplying significant orders to the exciting offshore renewables sector.
In particular, we offer a top quality range of marine safety and survival products together with 'leaders in class' fall arrest and climbing equipment to the Offshore Wind Farm industry.
A programme of continuous improvement in all aspects of our business has been implemented which will enable us to drive the company forward to even greater success.
